Saltillo FFA Makes Mark at State Convention

4861005112_206b50a74f_zMembers of Saltillo FFA made their mark at the Texas FFA Convention in July. Three of its members, Kortne Wilson, Haylee Clover, and Cheyenne Reynolds, earned and received their Lonestar FFA Degree. This is the highest degree that a student can earn at the state level.

To earn the Lonestar FFADegree, students muse meet multiple requirements. A few such requirements include, but are not limited to:

  • Active membership for at least 2 years
  • Agricultural Instruction for a minimum of 2 years
  • Participation in FFA activities like Career and Leadership Development Events
  • At least 25 hours of community service

Along with these and many other requirements, the students must also keep extensive and accurate records of projects and opportunities of their time in FFA. The degree takes a lot of work and is certainly an achievement worth celebrating. Congratulations to these members of Saltillo FFA and others receiving their Lonestar FFA Degree this year.
